Diencephalon


Function:

  • Chewing

  • Directs Sense Impulses Throughout the Body

  • Equilibrium

  • Eye Movement, Vision

  • Facial Sensation

  • Hearing

  • Phonation

  • Respiration

  • Salivation, Swallowing

  • Smell, Taste

Location:

  • The diencephalon is located between the cerebral hemispheres and above the midbrain.
